Important information on the coronavirus
(as of April 22, 2020)
We are fully prepared for all contingencies related to coronavirus, as it’s genuinely difficult to predict how long it’s going to impact both everyday life and the events business. The good health of all participants at our events is our guiding principle.
- We have a full onsite enhanced hygiene plan (and indeed all the venues we work with also have detailed plans of their own) for any events going ahead around coronavirus season.
- We have a virtual events plan so we can take an event virtual if it’s not possible/advisable to proceed in-person on the original dates. We also have the ability to bring speakers in remotely if the event can run but the speaker can’t travel to it. In March we successfully took a major event in Munich virtual within 9 days when live events of over 1000 people were banned just before it was scheduled.
- We are in contact with all our conference venues about rescheduling possibilities in case a particular event cannot run on the original days. They all have constraints of their own, so the timing around this can vary.
Our goal is to ensure a valuable experience to the attendees, regardless of the environmental constraints, without endangering their health.
It’s likely to be clear which options make sense for any given event between one and two months prior to its scheduled date and we’ll update all stakeholders in that timeframe where possible.
